Abandoned Industrial Hideout
Modeled and rendered in Maya with PBR textures created in Substance painter and designer. 2D textures were created in Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop.
I aimed for a stylized look, taking inspiration from game environments and cinematics like Valorant and Overwatch. Original concept art created by Labuu (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XnPRaR)

A story within every art
I enjoyed this particular concept because I have always been fascinated by post-apocalyptic and abandoned pieces of architecture and art. I wanted to show even within abandoned pieces of work there is still life and light to be found. Thus, I even took time
to further add life to the overall scene beyond the original concept through additional lighting, foliage, and textures.
New techniques
This was the first time doing a lot of doing in 3D from using physically based rendering for textures as well as cloth simulation for foliage and animation. While this would be a scene never found in real life, I implemented many lighting passes that could add more realism and tranquility to the overall aesthetic. I also used transparency maps for the first time for foliage to give off the feeling that every individual leaf is there without individually modeling every one.

Cinematic shots
Custom made textures
I made some stylized stone and water textures within Substance Designer to use for the final environment.
